We had the pleasure of working with Julie Staley to buy our new home, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From our very first meeting, she showed genuine commitment to understanding our needs and preferences, going above and beyond to find listings that truly suited what we were looking for. She was always available to answer questions, provide advice, and schedule viewings, making the whole process feel smooth and stress-free.
What stood out most was Julie's knowledge of the market and neighborhood insights, which gave me confidence in every decision. She was always professional, transparent, and incredibly patient, making sure we felt supported at every step. By the time we found “the one,” we felt completely prepared and informed to make an offer.
Thanks to Julie, we are now settling into a home we absolutely love. If you’re looking for a realtor who’s attentive, trustworthy, and dedicated, I highly recommend Julie!
When I came to Julie Staley with a big request- to sell one house and buy another all in the same week, for one seamless move, she made magic happen! With great communication, thorough review of options, connections with business partners, and outside of the box thinking, she made our dream come true! She sold our old house after just one open house, and tirelessly advocated on favorable negotiations on the new house. A trustworthy, honest realtor, I highly recommend partnering with Julie when it’s time to buy or sell your home.
Education: You provided so much education regarding the process (I learned what an escalation clause
was among other things!). I think this is so crucial because for many (like me), folks may have not been
in the world of buying and selling, so the process can feel daunting. Understanding the process and
“what’s next” was so incredibly helpful because once you understand what is happening, it feels less
scary.
Trust: There was a HUGE level of trust in the process. I heard you (and you told us) how you advocated
for us and represented us (like telling us to think of you as our lawyer). This provided so much comfort
because we “don’t know what we don’t know” and to knowing our response could be “contact our
realtor” was a HUGE stress reliever. I knew you had our backs, and I know how strongly we leaned on
you to ask the important questions, answer for us when we had no idea what we were doing; we could
ask your opinion and trust that you would guide us in a direction we wanted to be going in.
Emotional support: Moving can be so emotional. If we’re emotional, we don’t always hear what others
are saying because we’re caught up in our own thoughts, so we might miss information, not pay
attention to a conversation, etc. which just adds to confusion and stress. I recalled a time I was in my
own thoughts, and you asked me “how ya doin?” – it was a quick check in and that made SOOOOO
much of a difference because it gave me space to verbalize what was in my head. If you saw a facial
expression that was a bit off, you asked about it. At the same time, you kept things moving. Wallowing
too much in our emotions isn’t helpful, so while we can identify them and honor them, having someone
give us a compassionate nudge keeps things moving.
Wholistic: Sounds cheesy to use this word, but it was not just about selling and buying, it was about
packing, getting things painted (Oscar), investigating the estate sale, etc. Basically truly understanding
where we were in the process, what we wanted for our new home and then helping us meet our goals. I
feel wen we settled on this place; you were genuinely excited (even outside of us being friends).
Basically, it’s about the relationship between us (the sellers/buyers) and you (real estate agent) – it
didn’t feel like a Steve, Karen/Julie relationship, but an “us,” that the 3 of us were a team.
Availability: We felt like we were your only clients. We had SOOOO many conversations about how
drastically different the experience was with you compared to our previous realtor. Not even apples and
oranges….more like apples and cows LOL.
In comparison: None of these bullet points were present with our other realtor. We found our homes on
our own (our first home and later PG) without her. She was pushy, provided no education, listened to
respond, not to understand and would give us her opinion and kinda pressure us “make a decision”.
That’s why we looked for houses on our own, so we could feel comfortable looking at houses without
her and then we’d ask her to show a house if we drove by and liked it. For the PG house, we contacted
her to tell her we were building in PG – she wasn’t even part of that initial process, but went with us to
the design place and judged everything – kinda negatively impacted the experience for us actually.
That’s why we LOVE YOU!!
Thank you so much Julie for all your support and guidance over the last few months! We are so grateful for getting connected with you and having had the chance to work with you. We truly could not have done it without you. From pregnancy snacks in the car, crawl space adventures, and vinyl siding, we are so glad we had your support along the way. Thanks for everything and we will stay in touch!
